Each year, STC conducts numerous health and safety compliance audits at facilities throughout the US and, with few exceptions, our auditors identify compliance deficiencies with the site’s hazardous energy control program (better known as lockout/tagout or LOTO). Most of the time these nonconformities are due to a lack of understanding of OSHA’s hazardous energy control standard.
Our presenter, Jerry Reid, STC Program Director, will provide a detailed look at the OSHA requirements, review the common compliance issues identified through auditing, and share insights on how to ensure that your LOTO program effectively protects your employees against the dangers of hazardous energy.
